Name:
Zoë Sophia Garcia

Hometown: Davis, CA

What was the first job you ever had (theater or otherwise)?  First job I had, I worked at this mom & pop store called the Hotdogger. First theatre, job was a children's show of Treasure Island. I played Ben Gunn.

What is something you're REALLY bad at?  Roller blading/roller skating, or skateboarding. Basically anything that puts wheels under my feet.

What was the last book you read?  A Game of Thrones: A Storm of Swords.

What’s a place you would love to travel to?  Thailand.

What is your favorite stage performance that you've seen? Julia Brothers in Wit.

What is your all time favorite movie?  That's impossible. I don't have favorites, but one movie that'll never get tired of is Amelie.

What is your guilty pleasure?  Pie. Any kind of dessert pie. I love it and I feel like I've done something wonderfully terrible after I eat it.

What career would you have chosen if not theater?  I have no idea.

Do you have a go-to Karaoke song?  "What's Up" by Four Non Blondes

What has your favorite part of the Kama Sutra rehearsal process been?  Luckily the whole process has been great. [director] Anne [Kauffman] makes a very relaxed and welcoming rehearsal room, and she's hysterical. I guess one of my favorite moments of the rehearsal process was having this casual conversation with Chris, Anne, and Kirk about strap-ons. Like it's a completely normal thing to talk about with people you're getting to know.

Name: Kirk Lynn

Hometown: Austin

What was the first job you ever had (theater or otherwise)?  Sweeping up in my dad’s barbershop.

What is something you're REALLY bad at?  I can’t sing to save my life. Even a little song like "Happy Birthday."  I have had more than one person stop me during Happy Birthday thinking I was purposefully making fun of the song or being a dick when I was just singing…

What was the last book you read?  Department of Speculation… Brilliant.

What’s a place you would love to travel to?  Alaska wilderness.

What is your favorite stage performance that you've seen? Reg Rogers as Dr. Astrov in Uncle Vanya up at Lake Lucille.

What is your all-time favorite movie?Chariots of Fire.

What is your guilty pleasure? Candy. I eat ten thousand pounds of candy when no one is looking. Shitty candy. Sweettarts. Mike and Ikes. NOT good chocolates or anything reasonable. Bags and bags of skittles!

What career would you have chosen if not theater? Work in a bookstore. I worked at the Strand for a little while. It was like working in a Kafka novel.

Do you have a go-to Karaoke song? I mentioned I can’t sing, but I find that "500 Miles" by the Proclaimers gets the crowd to sing along and sort of cover for me, especially on the du-du-dut-tahs… and Juve’s "Back That Ass Up" is a good one that requires no singing…

What has your favorite part of the Kama Sutra rehearsal process been? A lot of the scene titles are sexual in nature so you get to say, let’s do “The Handjob” a couple of times and then touch “the Strap-On” before we call it a night.

Name:  Rebecca Henderson

Hometown:  Vancouver, BC

What was the first job you ever had (theater or otherwise)?  I was a camp counselor for six summers at Camp Elphinstone on the Sunshine Coast and then The Hole in the Wall Gang Camp in Connecticut.

What is something you're REALLY bad at?  Let's turn this into a positive: i'm really GOOD at spending money (which means i'm really bad with money).

What was the last book you read?  Donna Tartt's The Goldfinch

What’s a place you would love to travel to?  At the moment, it's not a place i'm craving but the people in that place.  Although one of my best friends is in Big Sur …

What is your favorite stage performance that you've seen?  Lisa Emery in A Kind of Alaska

What is your all time favorite movie?  Terms of Endearment. Anything with sharks and/or Tilda Swinton. I actually love Love Actually.

What is your guilty pleasure?  Seducing people who are in relationships. I don't know!  Ice cream?

What career would you have chosen if not theater?  Doctor. For sure. I still might do it.

Do you have a go-to Karaoke song?  Patti Smith's Because the Night

What has your favorite part of the Kama Sutra rehearsal process been?  ANNE KAUFFMAN.
