The Patron Program

Gifts at every level support Playwrights Horizons’ mission to foster and produce the work of new American playwrights and musical theater artists.  Scroll down for donor benefits at the FRIENDS and DONORS levels.

Donate $1,500 or more and join a group of dedicated donors in the Patron Program.  As a member of the Patron Program you’ll have the opportunity to see your gift at work in rehearsals, at a private play reading, an opening night or at an intimate dinner party with the playwright and the director.  Members have as much access as possible to the artists, as well as the staff and board members who support the work at Playwrights Horizons. 

Membership includes a subscription for two to all six Mainstage and Sharp Theater productions and a host of other benefits.

• Invitations to attend select play readings
• One complimentary soft drink or hot beverage when you attend the theater
• One free item at the bookshop when another of equal or greater value is purchased (single use only)
• Staff Picks: Email recommendations from our Literary department about new plays happening around town
• Copy of the Artist Interview, a discussion about the play and its origins between the playwright and the Artistic Director, sent to you at the conclusion of every show
• Invitations to special events
• Discounts at neighborhood restaurants, the lobby gift shop and area parking
• Acknowledgement in PLAYBILL and the Annual Report

• Invitation for two to attend an Opening night celebration
• One additional pair of complimentary tickets to a Mainstage production
• One pair of complimentary tickets to donate to the charity of your choice.
• A private backstage tour of the Playwrights Horizons production of your choice

• Invitation for two to two Opening night celebrations
• Invitation for two to attend a first rehearsal of a Playwrights Horizons production
• Two additional pairs of complimentary tickets to a Mainstage production
• The ability to earmark your donation to the production of your choice

For gifts of $500-$1,499, $100 is not tax-deductible.  For gifts of $1,500 or more, all but $550 is tax-deductible.  Contributions are fully tax-deductible if benefits are declined by donor. 

Corporate matching gifts may be applied to increase your level of Patron Membership.
