Playwrights Horizons’ Annual Gala is our most important fundraising event of the year. We invite our community of artists, supporters, and friends as we celebrate our achievements with an evening of delicious food, superb entertainment and a silent auction. Funds raised support our more than 40-year-old mission to develop, produce and champion new American theatrical works. Through the participation of donors, our theater continues to be a vibrant leader in the development of new American plays and musicals and a standard for excellence in the theater world.

This year’s Gala will be held on Monday, May 6, 2013 at the event space 583 Park, in New York City.

Patron Events – Patron Program

Patrons have access to Playwrights Horizons’ artists, staff and Board at exclusive events held throughout the season.  As a member of the Patron Program, you’ll have the opportunity to see your support at work in first rehearsals, private play readings, opening nights or intimate dinner parties with the playwright and the director.   Information about the Patron Program.

Generation PH – Donor Program for theatergoers in their 20s, 30s, and early 40s

Generation PH is a community of younger philathropists and theatergoers who attend Playwrights Horizons productions; mingle with cast members, artistic staff and our Board of Trustees at exclusive parties and receptions; and see theater in a new way by talking to the writers about the development of their plays. Plus a portion of each membership is a tax-deductible contribution that directly supports these amazing artists and their new works.  Information about Generation PH.

Stories on Five Stories: Poetic Justice – Monday, October 22, 2012

Stories on 5 Stories, a unique, one-night-only benefit, brought together New York City’s finest writers and actors to create short plays and musicals in unexpected settings throughout Playwrights Horizons’ theater complex. Audience members traveled in groups to experience seven original works in surprising, site-specific locations, then mingled with the artists at an exclusive after-party! This year, writers explore the notion of Poetic Justice.
