2021 Membership Handbook


As we look forward to the time when we reopen our doors, we want to affirm that the health and safety of our audiences, artists, and staff are of the utmost importance. In light of COVID-19, we are hard at work implementing a system of health-based procedures (under guidance from government and health authorities) to ensure the safety of all who come to our theater. Information about these protocols will be posted on our website, included in preshow emails, and featured on our lobby screens. As we approach the day when our theater can resume operation, our audiences will be the first to know about the steps we are committed to taking to create this safe and welcoming environment.

Booking Seats 

We’ll send you an email when your one-week (two-week for Membership + Friend) advanced booking begins — that’s your cue to book your seats for that show. You can book online at or call Ticket Central. You can book one $30 ticket per show to any preview performance, in the Tier 1 and 2 seating zones. (Friends can access Premium seats.) Members receive priority booking ahead of the public, so be sure to act early to guarantee prime seats.


When previews end, don’t worry — you haven’t missed your chance to see the show! After the show opens we may offer exclusive discounts for Members only, subject to availability. Contact us to see what Member ticket rates are available. 

Ticket Exchange

All tickets are non-refundable. Ticket exchanges must be requested by contacting Ticket Central up to 24 hours before your scheduled performance time. You may pay the cost of difference in ticket price, plus an additional $5 per-ticket exchange fee. (Friends receive one free exchange per show). If you are unable to exchange or use the seats you’ve booked, let us know to release your seats.

Guest Tickets

You can purchase one guest ticket per production for $50 each to any preview performance.


We strive to provide an enjoyable experience for all of our audience members. Both of our theaters are wheelchair-accessible, and assisted listening devices are available at all performances. We have captioning and audio-description services available for every production; we also provide ASL-interpreted performances for some productions. Visit our site at for details and dates. Local Business Discounts

Season package holders have access to a range of discounts at local restaurants, hotels, and parking garages by showing your Playwrights ID card, which will be automatically emailed to you with your payment receipt.
