Student Ambassador Program

Are you a CUNY Student? Become a Student Ambassador!

Playwrights Horizons' Student Ambassador Program offers CUNY students the chance to develop leadership, marketing, and community engagement skills while connecting their campuses to the theater world.

As an ambassador, you’ll plan and execute 6 promotional events on campus to raise awareness about our Student Membership program, which provides access to $10 tickets for every show for all CUNY students.

Monthly in-person meetings featuring educational talks from theater professionals will help you build marketing strategies and gain industry insights.

The program includes:

  • Monthly in-person meetings with complimentary lunch, educational conversations from theater professionals, and cohort discussions

  • Support to create and execute six promotional events on your campus over the course of this season

  • Opportunity to gain valuable marketing and community engagement skills

As a Student Ambassador, you receive:

  • $400 stipend

  • One complimentary ticket to each of our shows for the remainder of the 2024/25 season, and a discount code for your friends and family to receive $5 preview and $10 post-opening tickets

  • Reimbursement for public transportation to and from monthly meetings
