Content Transparency Statement

Playwrights Horizons recognizes the importance of the well-being of all our audience members, and is committed to sharing information about topics and/or sensory experiences which people may find distressing or inaccessible in advance of attending our productions or events. 

Prince Faggot contains the following design elements and sensory experiences:

  • Red and white strobe lighting 

  • Theatrical haze/smoke

  • Onstage cigarette smoking

  • Loud and sudden sounds

The production also includes mature themes and content, including:

  • Minor use of profanity

  • Mentions of violence and addiction

  • Depictions of drug use (poppers) & simulated vomiting

  • Explicit sexual content (nudity & fetish practices)

  • References to discriminatory attitudes (internalized & systematic racism, homophobia, transphobia, classism, sexism, and xenophobia)
