Redux Series

Exceptional new plays are produced all over the city, from our largest venues to our tiniest storefronts and basements. But so often, smaller theater companies are able to produce a celebrated new play for an intimate crowd and a short run, limiting its potential audience reach. As part of our commitment to advancing new playwriting and strengthening the new play landscape, Playwrights Horizons has launched our Redux series, joining forces with kindred theater companies to remount their productions on our stage for a wider audience. The result is a thrilling collaboration, and a chance for new artists and audiences to find one another.

Past Redux productions include Jaclyn Backhaus’s Men On Boats and The Mad Ones' Miles for Mary.

Redux productions are programmed in addition to our regular season offerings. The Redux Series is not included in any of our season packages. Playwrights season package holders can choose to purchase individual tickets at a special discounted price.

Playwrights Horizons’ Redux Series is a fantastic, vital new initiative.
