Thank you for your interest in sharing your work with Playwrights Horizons.
Because of the small size of our staff, we are not able to accept unsolicited manuscripts at this time. We are always grateful to get to know new writing, and will continue to provide many channels to do so. As we did with “Unplugged” (Fall 2024), we will be employing periodic targeted open calls to meet specific programming criteria. Check back here for updates!
Unplugged
In Fall 2024, Playwrights Horizons invited playwrights to submit scripts specifically for the “Unplugged” producing model.
“Unplugged” is a new production model that de-emphasizes physical production costs, keeping artists’ pay a priority. Our goal is to find new approaches to theater-making in the hopes of building a healthier and more sustainable future.
