Facilities Supervisor, Playwrights Downtown

Organizational Summary:
Playwrights Horizons is a writer's theater dedicated to the support and development of contemporary American playwrights, composers and lyricists, and to the production of their new work. Playwrights Downtown is a facility that houses Playwrights Horizons Theater School, Playwrights Rehearsal Studios and three Resident Companies.
Position Summary:
The Facilities Supervisor supervises and coordinates the day-to-day maintenance and repair of Playwrights Downtown spaces and associated equipment. This position reports directly to the Administrative Director.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Serve as liaison to the building management company and vendors
- Schedule and ensure completion of preventative maintenance.
- Proactively diagnose any service needs and follow through to ensure the service is completed
- Oversee janitorial and carting contracted services
- Manage and reorder facilities related supplies including COVID PPE
- Maintain cleanliness and comfort of all spaces including emptying trash, stocking restroom supplies, and monitoring temperature
- Support Studio Associates in addressing facilities issues as they arise throughout the day
- Work collaboratively with Playwrights Uptown’s Building Manager
- Work collaboratively with the Client Services Manager and Administrative Director in the daily operations of the rehearsal studios
- Other duties as assigned by the Administrative Director
Experience Requirements:
- Two or more years of facilities experience
- Ability to troubleshoot basic plumbing, electrical, AC issues
- Proficient using computers and apps
- Customer Service experience a plus
- Highly motivated self starter
- Ability to multitask, work under pressure, and meet deadlines
- Ability to interact with diverse populations, including undergraduate aged students and a wide variety of rental clients
- Proficiency in Spanish, a plus
- Criminal Background Check will be required
Compensation

Salary: $45,000.
