FAQ

General

What are your hours?

Our box office, run by Ticket Central, is open noon–8 PM daily, and can be reached at 212 279 4200. The administrative hours for Playwrights Horizons are 10 AM–6 PM, Monday through Friday, and the office can be reached at 212 564 1235. Both the administrative office and Box Office are located at 416 West 42 Street.

How can I get the script for one of your productions?

We sell many of the scripts from Playwrights shows for reading and educational purposes; you can purchase these through our Stage to Page bookshop online, at the office during administrative hours, or when attending a performance. If you’re looking to mount a production of a show that premiered at Playwrights, you can find the playwright’s representation and reach out in regards to rights.

Why is it “Playwrights Horizons” and not Playwrights’ Horizons?

Our founder Bob Moss says he knows there was a reason, but doesn’t remember why. You’ll also see references to “PH” sometimes, which is short for Playwrights Horizons.
