Jack Heifner is an American playwright. Patio/Porch, Natural Disasters, Running on Empty, Bargains, Boys’ Play, Home Fires, Heartbreak, Comfort and Joy, The Lemon Cookie, Dwarf Tossing, Smile, Vanities, Leader of the Pack and over thirty other plays and musicals have been produced in New York, Los Angeles and theatres around the world. Vanities ran for over five years, making it one of the longest running Off-Broadway productions in history. Heifner has also written for television and film. Currently, Heifner is currently the playwright in residence at Stephen F. Austen State University, a position he has held for over fifteen years.
