Rheology takes the form of a physics lecture interwoven with personal storytelling. The production contains mature content, including:

  • Discussion of illness, aging, and death

  • Themes of grief and the anticipated loss of a parent

  • Simulated medical distress, including choking and coughing

  • References to cremation, human remains, and the physical processes of the body after death

Rheology includes moments of audience interaction as part of the lecture-style presentation. A performer may be seated among the audience and speak from within the house.

If you have any specific questions about content, age-appropriateness, or stage effects (such as strobe lights or theatrical fog) not listed that might have a bearing on patron comfort, please utilize our Access Needs Form or email audienceservices@phnyc.org
