T. Adamson is a Texas-raised writer and theater artist of Anglo/Mexican ancestry. His play Usus (Clubbed Thumb) was named among the Best Theater of 2024 by Vulture and The New Yorker. Other plays include The Straights (JACK), The Natural Horse (Alleyway Theatre; Brisbane Festival), and My Dead Father, the Salesman. Honors include Bruntwood Prize Shortlist, Maxim Mazumdar Award, and the 2022 Paula Vogel Playwriting Award. T. has developed work with Playwrights Horizons, Vineyard Theatre, Clubbed Thumb, NYTW, Mercury Store, Cutting Ball, Fresh Ground Pepper NYC, Great Plains Theater Commons, and many others. With startling clarity and sly wit, The Annunciation traces three generations of Mexican-American women to confront the overlapping crises of morals and faith at the heart of the nation today, inviting us to consider our personal and political identities — and to ask how they might be reimagined.
