Applications for the 2025/26 season are open until Friday, March 28, and can be accessed here.

Here is the anticipated timeline for the recruitment process:

• Interviews will begin at the end of April and will go until mid-May. Candidates may be asked to provide an additional work sample.

• Offers will be made to candidates during the last week of May.

Applicants are welcome to express interest in more than one fellowship, and the application includes a question where you can indicate the departments that you would like to apply for.

When completing the online application form, applicants are asked to upload a resume, short written or video responses to several prompts, and contact information for two references. While cover letters are optional, they should be submitted as a single PDF with your resume. If selected to interview, candidates may be asked to provide writing samples or a portfolio.

Fellowships for the 2025/26 season will begin in September and continue through the production season, concluding in June.

General Management and Marketing Fellows join their teams three days per week during normal business hours (10AM – 6PM), and the schedule is determined based on both the fellow's availability and the department's needs.

Artistic Fellows join their team four days a week during normal business hours (10AM – 6PM).

Stage Management Fellows are in residence for the six day rehearsal/performance schedule (usually Tuesday – Sunday) when involved with a show.

Fellows are paid minimum wage, which is currently $16.50 per hour. This hourly rate will increase to $17 in January of 2026. All Fellows will also receive an unlimited monthly MetroCard and free or discounted tickets to shows throughout the season.

Because our fellowships are primarily full-time and run the duration of our production season, the program is geared toward those who have completed their undergraduate training or do not anticipate being enrolled in a full-time educational program during the fellowship. If you’re nearing graduation in spring of 2025, we encourage you to apply. Please note that it is not a prerequisite that our Fellows have earned a bachelor's degree.

Because our season-length fellowships usually begin in September and run through June, we do not traditionally offer additional opportunities during the summer months.

Yes, it is possible for Fellows to participate in other opportunities that support them during their time outside of office hours or their rehearsal schedule. Stage Management fellows may encounter opportunities to participate in outside work during periods between production commitments.

We are unable to provide housing for our Fellows, but can provide guidance on how to find housing in New York.

While you do not need to be a United States citizen in order to participate in this program, fellows receive their weekly payments through payroll and will need to provide a Social Security Number in order to be paid.

Having prior work experience is not required for this program. We are seeking fellows who have demonstrated a passion for working in the arts and who are at a point in their education or careers to strongly benefit from this kind of immersive training experience.
