Business Assistant (Ticket Central)

Playwrights Horizons seeks a candidate who will become an integral member a six-person ticketing office. Ticket Central provides ticketing services for Playwrights Horizons, the Off-Broadway community at large, and many special events.

Reporting to the Director of Ticket Central, a successful candidate will be a self-starter with strong organizational skills, a facility for database systems and an interest in data analysis, with an attention to detail, and the ability to provide superior customer service.


· Prepare weekly box office settlements for clients
· Reconcile sales transactions and transaction fees on a monthly basis
· Prepare client invoices for billable services
· Resolve credit card charge backs and inquiries
· Assist the Business Manager with yearly audit and any reporting preparation
· Balance all shows on a weekly basis to look for problem orders
· Build reports in AudienceView (ticketing software)
· Create, maintain, and modify events in AudienceView (ticketing software)
· Perform show maintenance, for clients as needed.
· Perform the minimum duties of the Box Office Supervisor on a limited, as needed basis
· Filing and other office duties as assigned


· Proficiency with Microsoft Excel
· Working knowledge of basic bookkeeping
· Experience with AudienceView ticketing software and QuickBooks a plus
· Superior customer service
· Availability to work nights and weekends
