LIVEFORFIVE LOTTERY

The LIVEforFIVE Lottery makes available up to two $5 tickets to the first preview of every production at Playwrights Horizons. Entries to the lottery may be submitted online beginning the Monday of the week before the first preview of each production. Sign up for our mailing list to be notified when the lotteries begin!

HOTtix are rush tickets are available to theatergoers aged 30 and under. We offer a limited number of $30 tickets, subject to availability, starting one hour before showtime beginning at the second performance of each production and continuing through the end of the run. To purchase HOTtix, proof of age is required. Cash only. One ticket, per person, per purchase. (Better yet: pick up $15–25 tickets IN ADVANCE with a Young Membership)


Accessibility and Special Needs

Our theaters are wheelchair-accessible. If you have special seating needs, please contact Ticket Central early in the season so that we can help meet your needs throughout the year. In the Mainstage Theater, the wheelchair and companion seats are on the aisles in Row E, and in the Peter Jay Sharp, the wheelchair and companion seats are on the aisles in Row F. Infrared listening systems are available at no charge at every performance and can be checked out from the concessions counter.

Open Captioning

We offer one open-captioned performance per Mainstage production for theatergoers who are deaf or hard of hearing. 

To find out the date of the next open-captioned performance, visit the "Calendar + Info" tab for the production you wish to see.

Open captioned performances at Playwrights Horizons are supported by The Theodore H. Barth Foundation, Inc. and the Theatre Development Fund's TAP Plus program, in cooperation with the New York State Council on the Arts, and are provided by c2.
