Christopher Drobny

Composer

Christopher Drobny is an American composer and musical director. He has composed music for productions both Off-Broadway and regionally including K (Syracuse Stage), Mother Courage and Her Children (Cornell), Kissing and Horrid Strife (Opera Company of Philadelphia), The Piggy Bank (The Guthrie), Lucy's Lapses (PH, Portland Opera), and Fire in the Future (Minnesota Opera). His musical direction credits include Antony and Cleopatra (Public Theatre), The Threepenny Opera (Williamstown), Bill Irwin Sketchbook (Roundabout), The Leonard Bernstein Symposium (Met Museum), White Christmas (Syracuse Stage), A History of American Film (Julliard), and The Rodgers and Hammerstein Recital (Smithsonian Institute).

Drobny is currently a professor at Pace University, and has served on the faculty of New York University's Tisch School of the Arts. He is a graduate of the University of Iowa and City College of New York.
